Pool Equipment Enclosure Ideas

Have you ever wanted to hide your pool pump and filter?  Well keep reading, because this blog is for you!

Pool equipment can be a ghastly sight... but it doesn’t have to be.  With a few simple items, some time and effort, you can beautifully conceal your pool equipment.

While it is not necessary to enclose pool equipment, it can hide it, and protect it from the elements such as snow, high winds, tree branches, and more.

Typically there are three types of pool equipment enclosures: walls, boxes, and houses.

A “Wall Enclosure” is the simplest way to hide your pool pump.  Just as easy as it sounds, you can install a wall or screen to block the view and noise of the pump.

If you are handy with wood, you can create your own wall at home.  A simple and effective DIY project.

You can also buy pre-built vinyl or wood privacy walls at most home improvement and gardening stores.

Alternatively hire a carpenter to build a wall enclosure if you’d like.

“Pool Equipment Boxes” provide additional protection beyond a “Wall Enclosure”.

Pool Boxes typically possess hinged lids, a piston, prop rod or hook, and more.

Look for something with slats to provide proper ventilation for the pump.

“Pool Equipment Houses” are a much larger enclosure.

But they provide walk in area for additional storage of pool equipment.

These are typically the size of a garden shed or larger and provide much more space than a "Wall Enclosure" or a "Box Enclosure"
